Tour to Fátima, Óbidos and Nazaré
The tour starting point will be at Praça dos Restauradores in Lisbon, at 9:00 am.
The first place will be Fátima with a 1.5 hour stop to visit the Sanctuary, one of the most important Christian temples in the world. This space of devotion and prayer was built on the spot where, according to legend, three little shepherds named Lúcia, Francisco and Jacinta saw Our Lady in 1917.
Then, we will visit the 14th century Batalha Monastery, one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Then, we will visit Nazaré, a small village that offers a perfect panoramic view of the area, with cliffs and the beach. You will have free time to eat alone, in the various traditional restaurants.
The last stop will be in Óbidos, a medieval village. You will have free time to explore its historic center, visit the village gate, the castle, the different churches, the walls and viewpoints. In the months of July and August there is the medieval market in the castle. In December the village is transformed into the home village.
Arrival time is estimated at 18:00 hours.
